Girls Cricket Options
Junior Blasters & Master Blasters – Girls (5-8 year-olds)
Both competitions are mixed with boys.
Junior Blasters is a 7 week program played for approximately 1 hour on Friday evening commencing 18 October 2019 at Harbord Park. Each registered player receives some equipment from Cricket Australia.
Master Blasters commences Saturday 19 October will be held at Adams Reserve, Curl Curl on the grass.. Games will be played on Saturday mornings from 8.00am – 10am.
Both Blasters competitions play with a soft ball, so no batting gloves, pads or helmets are needed. Everybody gets to bat and bowl.

U11 – Sixers Girls Cricket League (9-10-year-olds)
7-a-side, T20 competition played on a 16m synthetic pitch with a 30m boundary. Everyone gets a bat and bowl and a semi-hard ball (Kookaburra Rookie ball) is used and pads, gloves and a helmet are worn.
All games are played at David Thomas Reserve, Manly Vale, on Saturday mornings from 10.30am – 12.45pm. The season dates are 19 October to 21 March.
U13 – Sixers Girls Cricket League (11-12-year-olds)
9-a-side, T20 competition played on a 18m synthetic pitch with a 35m boundary.
Games are played at David Thomas Reserve or Millers Reserve, Manly Vale, on Saturdays from 1pm – 3.30pm. The season dates are 19 October to 21 March.
U15 – Sixers Girls Cricket League (13-14-year-olds)
9-a-side competition comprising T20 and T25 games played on a full-length synthetic pitch with a 40m boundary.
Girls wishing to play in Boys competitions is not encouraged
MWJCA would prefer all girls to sign up for a girls comp. If you would like to play in a boys comp you will need to let Louise Macfarlane know (Devils secretary ) and she will approach the MWJCA for dispensation.
U17 – Brewer Shield (through Manly Warringah District Cricket Club)

3rd Grade – 15 years and over (through Manly Warringah District Cricket Club)
Manly Warringah District Cricket Club is seeking experienced female cricketers to join the club’s 3rd grade side for the 2018/19 season.
With the recent success of the debut season of the u/17 Brewer Shield, MWDCC is continuing the growth and development of women’s cricket on the Northern Beaches by fielding a 3rd Grade side in the Sydney Cricket Association Competition.
With 3 grades making up the SCA Women’s Competition, 3rd Grade is the most social of the grades, and will allow for the perfect mix between youth and experience.
